Clear ornaments made fun!
This activity has a lot of room for creativity, so it’s perfect for both preschoolers and even toddlers. There are lots of ways your kiddo can make this craft their own!
First, you'll need some clear ornaments. Depending on the age of your kiddo, you may want to opt for some plastic ones that won't break in little hands. Once you have your ornaments, it's time to decide how you'll decorate them. Do you want to paint the ornaments? Or maybe you'll want to fill the ornaments up with some cheerful pom-poms to give your tree more color!
If you would like to paint your ornaments from the inside, put a marble inside the ornament with a little dollop of acrylic paint and swirl it around. One easy Christmas tree craft for kids is using wooden skewers, a base that you can stick the skewers to (like plasticine), paper, and markers. You can also use green construction paper, too! Fold the paper into an accordion shape and pass the wooden skewer through the middle of the paper. The base will keep the tree upright. Your kid can also glue pom-poms on the tree and put a star on top!

Get your scissors and cut out a circle in the middle of the paper plate. Don't worry if it isn't a perfect circle, you can cover that up with decorations! A material that resembles greenery is tissue paper, and it's easy to work with. Grab some green tissue paper (or any color you like) and crinkle it up to add some texture. Then, glue onto the plate. It's now time to spice up your wreath with decorations! Glue pom poms or ribbons on the wreath to make it as festive as you can. Your kid will have a holly-jolly time making this wreath!
Glow-in-the-dark snow globe
Snow globes are mesmerizing for little ones. Here's an extra fabulous recipe to make DIY glow-in-the-dark snow globes! You'll need a couple of materials for this Christmas craft with kids that may not be in your craft supplies already. First, find a glass jar that has a tight lid to keep the liquid in. Since this activity involves glass, make sure there's an adult supervising to keep the glass from breaking. You'll also need flat tonic water containing quinine in the ingredients. To make sure that there's no carbonation in the liquid, open the can or bottle and have it sit at room temperature for two days. This DIY requires a bit of preparation beforehand, but the result is worth the wait!
Once you have your tonic water ready and decarbonated, you can get started with the assembly. To make it more interesting, you can glue items inside the water-tight lid of the jar but make sure they are waterproof. Since this water glows in blacklight, and white is the best color that reflects it, you can put a snowman made out of a foam sheet on the lid. Hot glue will do the trick. Don’t forget to sprinkle some glitter into the tonic water for that amazing shake effect! A great recipe for this DIY with tried and tested methods can be found .
