Have a question about our apps?

Q: My app crashes or closes unexpectedly.

A: If the iPad is your tablet of choice, there may be an easy fix: using four or five fingers at a time can sometimes trigger Multitasking Gestures — which may include closing an app. Just head to your general Settings, and toggle Multitasking Gestures to ‘off’. If the app continues to misbehave, read on to the section about rebooting and shutting down. If problems persist, please get in touch.

Q. Why isn’t the app I purchased showing up on my device?

A: App playing hide and seek? Try using your device’s search application. As you start typing the name of the app, matching results will appear.

You can also see your previously purchased apps and download them again by following these steps: 1. Open the app store on your device 2. Check that you’re signed in to with the same account used to purchase the app 3. Tap on Purchased from the bottom navigation bar, locating the app in your Purchased list. (On iOS devices, tap Updates from the bottom navigation bar, then tap Purchased.) 4. Tap download

Q: Oh no! We accidentally erased the app. How do we get it back?

A: Don’t worry. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the App Store on your device, making sure you’re signed in with the same account used for the original purchase
  2. Tap on Purchased from the bottom navigation bar, locating the app in your Purchased list. (On iPhone or iPod touch, tap Updates from the bottom navigation bar, then tap Purchased.)
  3. Locate the app in your Purchased list
  4. Tap download

Q: If I reinstall/redownload an app, will I be charged again?

A: Even apps get the hiccups sometimes. Removing and downloading the app again can set things straight. As long as you download the app from the same iTunes account that you used to purchase the app originally, you won't be charged. Here's more information on downloading previously purchased apps.

Q: How do I remove the little Sago Mini ad on the app's start screen?

A: That little ad helps keep you in the loop about our newest releases — but if you want to remove it, it's easy. Just open your device's Settings, locate your Sago Mini app in the list on the left and toggle "Sago News" to "off".

Q: Why is my app misbehaving?

A: Sometimes apps crash or get glitchy. We find restarting your device or removing other apps running in the background usually helps. If all else fails, try reinstalling the troublesome app — don’t worry, you won’t be charged again!

Q: Why can’t I hear any sound?

A: First, check to make sure your device’s media volume isn’t set to ‘silent’. Little fingers can accidentally switch off the volume too, so make sure the volume switch hasn’t been flipped. If you're using an iPad, the sound issues could also be related to the physical sound/rotation lock side switch. Try changing the settings for that switch under General Settings. Then move the switch to see if the audio comes back. And of course, there’s the old reboot/reinstall trick if all else fails.

Q: What’s the relationship between Sago Mini and Tickle Tap apps?

The new Sago Mini apps share the same friendly approach and thoughtful design as the originals but include many improvements.

Q: What does Sago mean?

A: The origin of our company name, Sago Mini is three-fold. Firstly, we make sweet apps that children love, not unlike our namesake, the tasty dessert derived from the tropical palm.

Secondly, our apps contain whimsical narratives and the Swedish word for fairy tale is similar to Sago. Plus we love all thing Swedish. i.e. Toca Boca, Swedish berries, IKEA…

And finally, Sago is just fun to say out loud for kids — big and small. Try it! Say “Say-Go”

Q: Do your apps have any in-app purchases or third-party advertisements?

A: We believe in creating kid-safe quality apps. Which is why we don’t have third-party advertising or in-app purchases for kids in our products. On the starting screen of each app there’s a small icon, usually showing our latest releases or perhaps an app that is on sale or free. Tapping on this icon opens the App Store. However, this feature is easily disabled in your device’s Settings panel — just locate the Sago Mini apps on the list and toggle ‘Sago News’ to ‘off’.
